The Newground ReUse project has been chosen as a finalist for the Best Reuse and Waste Prevention Project Award category at this year’s CIWM Sustainability & Resource Awards.

The long-standing and well-respected awards recognise the outstanding achievement in the sustainability, resource and waste industry.  Newground ReUse are finalists along with four others projects with the winner to be announce at an event in London on Thursday 2nd November.

The project was entered into the category for Best Reuse and Waste Prevention Project as ReUse has diverted over 940 tonnes from landfill since 2014 whilst helping over 100 people to find employment.  Sara Knagg, ReUse Coordinator said “to be recognised for this achievement at a national level is a huge compliment and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the team.  We are up against national companies, including the NHS, so to be finalist is an accomplishment in itself.”

Newground ReUse will be tweeting from the event, follow @Nwgrnd_ReUse to find out first if they win.
